Adoption of RDA Outputs

RDA Outputs are the technical and social infrastructure solutions developed by RDA Working Groups that enable data sharing, exchange, and interoperability.  Their impact is their use to solve problems and their adoption and incorporation in infrastructure environments by individuals, projects and organizations.  RDA/US seeks to expand adoption of RDA outputs and hence their impact within the U.S.

View RDA's current listing of Outputs. At this time, RDA has developed more than twelve outputs, completing its first set of infrastructure deliverables set forth at its formation in 2013.  Visit RDA's global website to view RDA's current listing of Outputs.

RDA/US designated 2015 as the “year of adoption” and planned several efforts to amplify and increase the adoption of RDA outputs.  At RDA’s 5th Plenary in San Diego California, held in March 2015, RDA/US hosted “Adoption Day.” Sited at the San Diego Supercomputer Center, this event provided an opportunity for the adopters of RDA outputs to share how RDA infrastructure can impact data sharing both within the U.S. and abroad, discuss their experiences with adoption, and engage with potential new adopters.  Learn more about this event by visiting the global RDA website.

Also in this year, RDA/US launched the “Adoption Seed Project,” which specifically supported the following four U.S. organizations in adopting RDA outputs.
